Jin (진) of BTS(방탄소년단) has successfully concluded a one-of-a-kind fan event, showcasing his heartfelt appreciation for his fans.
On November 24, Jin held a special fan meeting titled 'Merry Run Around' at the carousel in Lotte World Adventure, Seoul. The event was part of the promotional activities for his solo album 'Happy' and marked the first time a K-Pop artist conducted a fan signing event on a carousel. This creative idea sparked immense excitement among global fans even before the event began.
Jin met with 50 fans during the park’s early hours and greeted them warmly, saying, "I’ve always wanted to host a fan signing event, but I thought it would be more fun to add a unique twist. I hope you enjoy it." The carousel spun as Jin interacted personally with each fan, accepting and wearing various fan-prepared items, filling the event with joy and laughter.
Originally, the event was planned for a single carousel lap per fan. However, Jin surprised everyone by suggesting two laps per fan to allow more interaction, significantly extending the duration. By the end of the event, Jin had ridden the carousel over 100 times, creating unforgettable memories with his fans.
Afterward, Jin shared his reflections: "If I had to pick the happiest moments since my military discharge, it would be the '2024 FESTA' on June 13 and last week’s fan showcase celebrating the release of 'Happy.' I believe your happiness motivates me to work harder. I’ll continue striving so we can meet more often."
Jin also treated all attendees to Lotte World free passes and special gifts, adding an extra touch of thoughtfulness to the day.
The carousel venue resonated with the theme of 'happiness,' central to his album 'Happy.' Jin was personally involved in conceptualizing the event, aiming to create a distinctive and meaningful experience for fans.
Jin’s solo album 'Happy,' released on November 15, has been making waves on global charts. Despite only three days of tracking, the album topped Japan’s Oricon 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking' (November 11–17). Its title track 'Running Wild' has also achieved impressive milestones, including ranking 8th on Spotify’s 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart and 25th on the UK Official Singles Chart, setting new records for Jin's solo work.
