Singer Lee Hyun (이현) successfully marked his radio DJ debut with the special support of BTS (방탄소년단) member J-Hope (제이홉), his labelmate and longtime friend.  

MBC FM4U’s 'Close Friend, Lee Hyun' (친한친구 이현입니다) premiered on November 25 at midnight. This marks Lee Hyun’s first radio show where he serves as the main host, presenting under his own name for the first time in his career.  

J-Hope made a special appearance on the show to cheer on Lee Hyun in his new role. The two artists, who have shared a close bond for many years, reunited despite J-Hope’s busy schedule.

J-Hope arrived on the debut broadcast with a bouquet of flowers to celebrate Lee Hyun’s new endeavor. Joining the first segment, ‘Sangam-dong Studio,’ J-Hope brought his signature energy to the program. “It’s truly meaningful to be part of this important moment, Lee Hyun’s first radio broadcast,” J-Hope said, adding vibrancy to the show.  

As a host, Lee Hyun impressed listeners with his candid and lighthearted approach, expertly drawing out J-Hope’s stories. The duo shared anecdotes from their trainee days, with J-Hope also explaining the creative process behind 'NEURON (with Gaeko and Yoon Mi-rae),' the title track of 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1,' and teasing future projects. These exclusive insights delighted fans.  

Thanks to J-Hope’s encouragement, Lee Hyun eased into his role, seamlessly guiding segments like 'Today’s Idol,' where he delved into song lyrics and details of new releases, 'My Favorite Song,' which highlighted listeners' top picks, and 'Tomorrow, My Day,' a segment aimed at motivating listeners.
